Bio: ABOUT US The Wheels Roller (Inline) Skating Club was started in 2015 as the Wheels Roller Skating Club, but once upon a time, there reigned arguments on taking a particular name. It was either Roll-on International (RI) or Wheels Roller Skating Club (TWRSC). Now in our few months of existence of existence, TWRSC is organized to promote inline skating in Ibadan, and even the whole of Oyo State (that has good roads), and even some other parts of Nigeria where there are interested skaters. TWRSC is committed to promoting inline skating by doing the following: * Providing organized skating events such as the Wednesday Fun Skate, Friday Fitness Skate, Saturday Free-styling and other special events. * Keeping skaters informed of current and upcoming events through club e-mails and through the club’s Web site and also through this particular facebook page. * Working with government agencies to promote skaters’ rights and interests. MISSION STATEMENT The club’s mission is to promote the growth of inline skating in Nigeria by developing a strong community of skaters, improving skating techniques, promoting safe skating, lobbying for skaters’ interests, and, most importantly, by having FUN and KEEPING FIT. We are a club of inline skaters mostly from the Ibadan, second home of inline skating after Lagos, but we are, of course, expanding to include the rest of Oyo State(and even parts of Nigeria).
